Tammojen hormonihoidot -seminaari

Korkeatasoisten kansainvälisten asiantuntijoiden tulessa Suomeen, haluamme tarjota  praktikoille tilaisuuden kuulla uusimmat tutkimustulokset tammojen hormonihoidoista. Luennot pidetään englanniksi.

Seminaari pidetään Viikissä 4.11 klo 9-16.45, B-rakennuksessa, luentosali 2:ssa.

Luennoijista:
Juan Cuervo-Arango väittelee Helsingissä 5.11. aiheena kloprostenolin käyttö ovulaation ennustaminen ja HAF.
Professori Tom Stout on yksi kansainvälisesti arvostetuimmista hevosten lisääntymistutkijoista.
John Newcombella on laaja yksityispraktiikka ja kymmenien vuosien kokemus tammapraktiikasta ja siittolatoiminnasta;

Hormone therapy in mares

About the speakers: Tiina Reilas has investigated the use of plastic spheres in estrus suppression. Juan Cuervo-Arango Lecina will defend his PhD thesis (The effect of cloprostenol on follicular development, ovulation, anovulation and pregnancy rate in the mare) in Helsinki 5.11. The examiner will be prof. Tom Stout, who is an internationally highly recognized researcher in equine reproduction. John Newcombe has a large private practice and 35 years’ experience about stud farm practice; the material for Cuervo-Arango’s thesis was collected in Newcombe’s practice.  When these kinds of international experts come to Finland, we want to offer the practitioners the opportunity to hear the latest research results about hormone treatments of mares.
