Appointments
You can reserve an appointment at the Production Animal Hospital from Monday to Friday at 08:00 (am)– 09:00 (am), tel. 09 191 40700.

At other times the veterinarian on duty can be reached at the number 0600-97413.

Emergency duty
The emergency service provides first aid in urgent cases primarily for animals in the Hospital area.

• The Production Animal Hospital is responsible for the emergency duty in the Municipality of Mäntsälä and the Päijät-Häme social- and healthcare consortium regions of Orimattila, Myrskylä, Artjärvi and Pukkila during evening, night and weekend hours. The emergency duty hours begin on weekdays (Mon-Thu) at 16:15 and end at 8:00 on weekday mornings, and from Fridays at 16:15 to the next Monday, encompassing the weekend. After the morning appointment times (8-9:00) customer calls are directed to the emergency duty phone which is meant for clients with urgently ill animals.
• The Päijät-Häme social- and healthcare consortium region has a separate small animal emergency duty in Lahti on weekends from Fridays at 16.00-20.00 and Saturdays & Sundays from 8.00-20.00; tel. 0600-392 121
  

The veterinarian on emergency duty is assisted by 1-2 veterinary medicine students. The veterinarian on duty can be reach at the number 0600-97413. The fees for the emergency duty phone are:

at hrs. 08-22 = 1,51 €/min
at hrs. 22-08 = 3,53 €/min

During work the veterinarian on duty cannot always answer the phone immediately, and the call is directed to an answering machine. It is important that you leave your full name and telephone number in the answering machine after listening to the instructions contained in the message if you require immediate assistance.

Small Animals
Acutely ill small animals are treated primarily at the policlinic. Raised fees are collected during emergency duty hours.

In the Helsinki region emergency duty is handled by the Small Animal Hospital and Equine Hospital.
