Three invited speakers:
Professor Elaine Holmes from Imperial College, London. Her research
interest is metabolomic profiling of the human body using NMR spectroscopy and pattern recognition techniques.
Dr Annick Mercenier from the Nestlé Research Centre, Switzerland. She is studying the interactions between intestinal microbes and the human body from an immunology perspective to improve human health.
Jos Vanderleyden from from K.U.Leuven, Belgium. He applies microbial molecular genetics approaches to study microbe-host interactions in a variety of systems including the intestinal tract. In Gut Day he's talk will be entitled The cell surface molecules of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG.
